Venessa Sambai Usek
Managing Director of Owl and Badger Research Sdn Bhd
Venessa Sambai Usek leads OB Research and oversees its operations. She holds a MA in Social Justice and Education from University of York, and a Bachelor(Sc) in Cognitive Science from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. Venessa is an indigenous rights activist, a certified trainer, a published researcher, and also a recipient of UK’s Chevening Awards. She previously worked as an international development consultant at RTI International.
Ralphaella Shange anak Kampit
Research Associate of Owl and Badger Research Sdn Bhd
A UNIMAS graduate with a Bachelor with Honors of Social Sciences and Humanities in Development Planning and Management in 2019, and a Master of Social Sciences and Humanities in Environmental Management (Development Planning). She previously worked at Sarawak’s Ministry of Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development as a Research Assistant. Ralphaella is commended on her technical and interpersonal skills in being on the ground working closely with our clients and beneficiaries.
Stanferd Jenta Sanada
Senior Associate of Owl and Badger Research Sdn Bhd
An engineering graduate registered under Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) with a manufacturing background in the solar industry. He pursued a Master of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering with research focus on environmental effects towards airborne pathogen transmission. He has a keen interest in doing research to support his principle in driving change through a data-driven approach. Stanferd leads the project management aspect and the liaison between the company and clients, especially in making sure all project deliverables are met well.
Michelle Teo Shao Shu
Research Analyst of Owl and Badger Research Sdn Bhd
Michelle, a Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak senior, is majoring in Graphic Design with a concentration in media and communication studies. Although she has yet to declare a major, she is always keeping herself occupied with projects such as designing logos, curating graphics, as well as researching political and environmental topics. From this experience, she learned the value of hard work, efficiency, and communication. Michele assists the team with data visualization of findings for easy accessibility and high impact.
Syahirah Bojeng
Research Associate of Owl and Badger Research Sdn Bhd
A Social Science graduate from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Syahirah majors in Planning and Development Management studies. She has worked on various projects, especially in the social and environmental field. She was also actively involved in community service programmes both locally and internationally. Syahirah leads our programme development and delivery, especially in working closely with our clients to achieve their objectives.
